You buy a block from KY Tote Co. We print you a card for each one, with your name and photo on the front and a code on the back. What does my client actually receive?

10 to 60 totes and a dolly, delivered and collected free in Lexington, KY. You choose the block size when you buy, so a client moving a studio and a client moving a four bedroom house each get the right amount. They pick the date. They pay nothing, and they are not asked for a card at any point except to cover damage, the same as any rental.

Is my name on the gift?

Yes, and it is the point. The card is a 4 by 6 photo print with your name, your brokerage and your headshot on the front, and a blank line for you to write your client's name in by hand. We print them, so it arrives as a proper card rather than something run off at the office.

Do the gifts expire?

No. A gift credit never expires and it is transferable, so a client whose closing slips by three months still has it, and one who does not need it can pass it to a friend. There is no cash value and unredeemed credits are not refundable, which is why they have no expiry to lose them to.

Do I find out when a client uses one?

Yes. We email you when a client books, with their first name and the rental dates, and tell you how many gifts you have left. You also get a page of your own showing every code, who you sent it to, and which ones have been used.

Is this better than a gift card?

It is more specific, which is what makes it land. A gift card is a number that goes in a drawer and reflects the amount back at whoever paid it. This arrives as a service somebody needs the same week they get it, and your client thinks of you every time a tote comes off the truck.
